This historic city, listed in Forbes Magazine as one of the 15 lost cities in the world, has more than 50 Islamic monuments in the distinct Bengal variant of Indo-Islamic architecture. This site was declared as a UNESCO world heritage site in 1983. There are 7,815 mosques, 238 temples, and 17 churches in this city. The main attraction is the Sixty Dome Mosque (Shait Gambuj Mosque). 1. Excellent tour with Mohammed Obaidul!
Ms. Dalila Elizalde (Florida, USA) October 18, 2018
We spent a week in Bangladesh visiting Dhaka and Sunderban Forest Reserve with Mohammed Obaidul. He was an excellent guide in Dhaka as well as on our overnight riverboat cruise through the rivers and mangrove forests of the Sunderbans, a vast preserve straddling the Bangladesh-India border on the Bay of Bengal. We saw an abundance of wild animals and birds in their natural habitat from aboard the boat as well as on short day hikes and from rustic viewing towers stationed in the backwoods. The whole tour was very well arranged and the boat quite comfortable with stateroom and an onboard cook who prepared delicious meals. As well as arrangements for our return by train to Dhaka. Most of all we appreciated the personal attention and knowledgeable explanations provided by Obaidul. We are not accustomed to the chaos that we found in Dhaka or the very different culture and customs around the country but Obaidul definitely helped us to understand them and always made us feel secure and comfortable. He made our trip memorable with very nice, interesting and amazing experiences. We left with a desire to return and see more of this fascinating country with Bangladesh Scenic Tours which we do highly recommend.
